Training format: 4 to 5 weekdays a week, 10 am to 4 pm
full-time, on-site study, daytime classes

About the program

Foundation Year is dedicated to developing one’s basic musical skills. Students will try their hand at various roles in music production and prepare to take the IELTS English proficiency exam.

Programme leader

Leonardo Perez is a record producer, sound engineer, composer, and co-owner of DTH Studios recording studio. Received his education at SAE Institute London and the London Centre of Contemporary Music (UK).

2. Admission Requirements

Completed secondary education (standard or vocational). Results of the Russian Unified State Exam are not considered for admission.

3. Entrance Examinations

  • English exam
The minimum entry requirement for prospective students during the preliminary examination is pre-intermediate to intermediate English. As part of Foundation Year students undergo intensive training in groups of respective levels (from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced). After this training the students take the IELTS test which is a prerequisite for moving to the Year 1 of a BSc degree programme.

  • Interview
During the interview, you will be asked a number of questions to assess your knowledge and understanding contemporary music. You will be asked about your education and professional experience to inform the ultimate decision about your admission to the programme. Be ready to tell us about yourself, about your engagement with music.
